I was inspired by one post on girlgame. I’m going to try to teach men how to properly maintain female friends. I’ve only successfully made one close platonic female friend since graduating high school, so I can’t say this will definitely work but this is what has worked for me. I don’t count friendships that were made before undergrad because teenage psychology is so different.
1. Intro
2. Do not have a desire to fuck her.
...or hit her in the face with a frying pan That doesn’t mean she can’t be pretty, she probably should be; people rarely make friends with someone well below or well above them in looks. But you shouldn’t really have a desire to fuck her. Sure, you can see her all dressed up and think, “damn, Michelle looks pretty fucking hot right now†or whatever sick thoughts go through your head, but that shouldn’t translate into tightness in your pants. If you’re getting wood over her, this isn’t going to work well.
3. Have game!
Just because you’re not trying to get into her pants doesn’t mean you won’t need to apply your knowledge of female psychology in dealing with her. The trick is not to actually game her heavy, just know how to flirt and respond appropriately to the inevitable shit tests that will come from her. However, if you’re actually developing a friendship, some shit tests are to be answered directly. Yes, this will lessen her attraction for you, but you’re not trying to fuck her remember? By doing this, you’re getting to know her just like you would another man you’re developing a friendship with.
4. Remember that she’s not a man.
Every relationship is a compromise, so she’s going to have to deal with some of your annoying manly habits, but you’re going to have to deal with her annoying feminine habits as well. If you’ve dated around a lot, you know what to expect. Don’t judge her for this. Female psychology is what it is. Deal with it. Remember, when chicks have problems, they usually want a sympathetic ear, not a 12 point plan to fix the problem. But keep in mind 2. You don’t want to become some emotional tampon every time she breaks a nail. Tease her over the little shit, but when she’s really hurting, know how to cheer her up.
5. Final Words
What are the benefits of female friends versus male friends? I shouldn’t have to tell most of my readers this, but having a pretty girl with you at public events isn’t bad for picking up chicks. They can also serve as wingwomen. One reason that I haven’t seen discussed much is that they give you a closer glimpse into female psychology. Any good player knows quite a bit about women already, but having a close female friend really opens up a whole new world. Having a girl you actually want to be nice to also keeps your misogyny in check, asshole! I only listed the things that men need to do and that weren’t obvious. Obviously, you shouldn’t be making friends with man hating feminists. Maybe I’ll post what women need to do in the future.
